Some of you asked me for a translation of Maryse's instructions for her "SAL des maisons de campagne" (i.e. countryhouses stitch along)... There you go!
FABRIC
If you decide to stitch all the houses on the same fabric, the stitch count is 211 x 281, which according to fabric count translates as:
28-count: 38,7cm x 51,6cm32-count: 35,4cm x 47,2cm
35-count:30,3cm x 40,4cm
40-count: 26,7cm x 35,6 cm
To convert into inches: go here.
Please note this is the stitched area. You'll need to add margins.
Each block is 69 x 69 points; within each block, the houses will be 61 x 61 points.
The overall design will be 3 blocks wide and 4 blocks high (but that's your call, obvisouly).

OR... whatever suits you best :) (Personally, I'll be choosing my own colours because I want a very muted result.)
Please ask me if I forgot to make something clear. Oh, and "Les grilles de Maryse" means "Maryse's charts". ;)
Hope this was useful :)

Dearest Isabelle, I would like to say Happy 2007 to you and to say thank you for your kind words on my blog, which I have not been working on for a while as you know.
I am now back blogging and I am feeling a lot more positive - I have written an entry 'all about everything' on my site under today's date, so I would like to welcome you over to my place!
I'm so happy to be back and I cannot thank you enough for your concern and warm love through my difficult time.
Hugs and fondest friendship to you

Awwww Isabelle, how cool is that! Both of us commenting on each other's blogs at the same time. Shows the warmth of our friendship is radiating :-)
Have a happy day, dear Friend
Hugs again

Robin is such a cutie! And your stitching is beautiful as always. I love the bag your friend, Doris, made for you.
Here is the link for that stitching pattern. It is a free pattern from the person that I mentioned but I actually found it at primmart and it's not on her site. Sorry about that!
Have a wonderful weekend!

Hello my friend :)
Just trying to get back into the swing of things here and leave a message for those that left one for me :)
Thank you SO much for your continued friendship-it means so much to me. Your e-mail have been so wonderful and I appreciate all the love and support you gave/give to me :)
Thanks for sharing the pic of you and Robin with me. He is just too sweet!
Have a great weekend!
This monthly SAL looks too cute to resist, Isabelle! I may have to join you on this one ~ I am such a 'sucker' for monthly projects.
I'm a "sucker" for monthly stuff too. Thank you soooo much for the help on this!
Thanks for the enabling. Such a cute idea. I love houses, and love the idea of one for each month. Thanks for the link and the instructions!
Thanks Isabelle :-)
Since discovering the beauty of French designs, I wish I'd tried harder during my high school French class!
Still not sure if I'll do it as a SAL, as doing all the houses seems a little too much for me (I tend to stitch fairly slow). However, I will probably do some along the way (they are very cute) so much appreciate your translating the directions.
Sue
Thanks for the link and the translation for this neat SAL!
