To keep you waiting... Another lace bowl

Here is a bowl I made this week:

It is made with only two different threads: white and variegated blue. The striped look comes from the fact I used variegated thread instead of a solid colour.
This is the first bowl I made that I'm keeping for... me!

No, kitty, it's not for drinking

For a minute there I thought that was a "glass" bowl! That is so intricate and delicate, it's very pretty. I am ever amazed at what you can do w/ your sewing machine! - Kim

Thank you both! I guess the glass look comes from the fact I used organza (i.e. a bit of an old curtain) to stitch the panels on.
Missy, do you have a sewing machine, and what kind?

Your bowl is gorgeous! I agree with Kim, when I first looked I thought it was glass too. Very, very pretty :o)

NO Violette, it isn't for you! lol She's so pretty and she obviously likes pretty things around her too.

The design looks really intricate and delicate. I like the blue hues. Must have taken you some time to do it and join them up. But I still don't know what it is for.
